America First Policies Takes “Tax Cuts to Put America First” Tour to Atlanta, Georgia
America First Policies made its eighth stop on its “Tax Cuts to Put America First” tour on Friday, March 23, at the Loews Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.
The series, “Tax Cuts to Put America First,” features guest speakers discussing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act—signed into law by President Donald J. Trump in December 2017.
Friday's event featured a panel with three U.S. Representatives from the Peach State: Reps. Barry Loudermilk (CD-11), Rob Woodall (CD-7), and Karen Handel (CD-6). The panel discussed how the tax legislation is affecting Georgia residents, families, and businesses, and the nation as a whole.
EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt and Georgia Governor Nathan Deal also addressed the crowd of about 650 before Vice President Mike Pence took the stage.
“We cut taxes for Georgia’s working families so you could keep more of your hard-earned money. We cut taxes for Georgia’s businesses so they can compete and win with companies anywhere around the world. We cut taxes for Georgia’s farmers, too. And all of those tax cuts are only now actually beginning to take effect in the economy,” said the Vice President.
