America First Policies Takes “Tax Cuts to Put America First” Tour to Billings, Montana
America First Policies made its 21st stop on its “Tax Cuts to Put America First” tour yesterday, July 25, at the MetraPark Montana Pavilion in Billings, Montana.
The series, “Tax Cuts to Put America First,” features guest speakers discussing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act—signed into law by President Donald J. Trump in December 2017.
The event featured a panel with Owner of Billings Flying Service, Gary Blaine; Owner of Little Frisia Farm, Colton DeVries; and Owner of Mergenthaler Transfer and Storage, Steve Mergenthaler. The panel discussed how the tax legislation is affecting Montana residents, families, and businesses, and the nation as a whole.
After the panel, Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior Ryan Zinke addressed the audience, followed by Montana’s Commissioner of Securities and Insurance Matthew Rosendale, who introduced the Vice President to a crowd of more than 400 people.
“We cut taxes for working families. And the typical family of four in Montana, we believe, is going to save more than $2,200 on your taxes when all these tax cuts take their full effect…We repealed death taxes for nearly every American farmer and rancher, so that the family farm, the family ranch can stay in the family where it belongs,” said the Vice President.
