America First Policies Takes “Tax Cuts to Put America First” Tour to the Granite State
America First Policies made its seventh stop on its "Tax Cuts to Put America First" tour on Thursday, March 22, at the Manchester Downtown Hotel in Manchester, New Hampshire.
The series, "Tax Cuts to Put America First," features guest speakers discussing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act--signed into law by President Donald J. Trump in December 2017.
Thursday's event took place three months to the day after President Trump signed the largest tax cuts and tax reform in American history. It featured a panel with former U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte, who represented New Hampshirites from 2011 to 2016, and was the first woman to serve as the state's attorney general. Joining Sen. Ayotte was Candice Benson, Executive Vice President of Corporate Relationships and Strategy for Women in Technology International, and CEO of Benson Consulting Inc., based in Bedford, NH.
The panel discussed how the tax legislation is affecting New Hampshire residents, families, and businesses, and the nation as a whole. The panel was moderated by Ian Boccaccio, principal at Ryan, LLC, a firm that provides federal, state, local, and international tax services.
Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy Dan Brouillette and New Hampshire Governor Christopher Sununu also addressed the crowd of about 500 before Vice President Mike Pence took the stage.
"Here in New Hampshire, our tax cuts, we believe, are going to save the typical family of four more than $2,500 a year," said the Vice President. "That's real money. ... Already, more than 3,000 Granite State workers have seen a tax cut bonus."
