America First Policies Takes “Tax Cuts to Put America First” Tour to Cleveland, Tennessee
America First Policies made its 19th stop on its "Tax Cuts to Put America First" tour yesterday, July 21, at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.
The series, "Tax Cuts to Put America First," features guest speakers discussing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act--signed into law by President Donald J. Trump.
The event featured a panel with U.S. Representatives Chuck Fleischmann and Scott DesJarlais, and local business owner Dan LeVan of ENERG3. The panel discussed how the tax legislation is affecting Tennessee residents, families, and businesses, and the nation as a whole.
After the panel, U.S. Representative Diane Black addressed the audience, followed by U.S. Representative Marsha Blackburn, who introduced the Vice President to a crowd of more than 1,000 people.
"We think the typical family of four in this part of Tennessee is going to save about $2,000 every year on their taxes. We cut taxes for businesses large and small so that businesses here in Tennessee can compete and win against businesses anywhere in the world and create jobs right here in the Volunteer State," said the Vice President.
